Pictures of the Veggie Ranger Converted to run on SVO! - 7/28/2005

It works!  I now have a diesel pickup truck running on waste vegetable oil!  I have 200 miles on the system and haven't noticed any difference in power or handling.  I did have a sticking brake caliper on the trip home the first day so I now have new front calipers, rotors and repacked bearings.

Pickup interior - notice the new lower gauge cluster and switches

From left to right - fuel supply switch, looped fuel return switch,
engine water temperature, external tank fuel level and fuel temperature
at the injection pump

The external aluminum veggie tank with aluminum heat exchanger built in.
Electric fuel push pump is mounted on the right hand side with HOH running
from the fuel tank to the engine.  It holds just short of 50 gallons!
(at 40mpg thats almost 2000 miles between fillups not including the
ten gallon stock fuel tank!!!)

The heated fuel filter and water separator.  You can also see the
coolant lines tee'd in that feed hot coolant to the heat exchanger
in the fuel tank.

Here are the Pollack valves and hoses that handle switching between
diesel and veggie along with toggling the looped return.

I am working on full documentation on the conversion process.  It will be posted soon along with better pictures!
